EP LAUNCH @ Shotkickers
Join Moon Elevator for the launch of their new EP “The Shadow That Follows You Home” with GRAZER & HYLA at Shotkickers on Thursday August 7th.
“At home in any David Lynch soundscape” was how post-punk.com described Moon Elevator’s 2024 debut. The local indie trio return to Shotkickers in Melbourne to launch a heartfelt, emotionally resonant four track EP exploring themes of intimacy, isolation and transcendence. Blending hypnotic, psychedelic post-punk with the widescreen textures of shoegaze, Moon Elevator conjure a mood reminiscent of Slowdive, Radiohead & The Church.
GRAZER is a glimpse into the wistful world of Melbourne duo, Mollie and Matt. Their dreamy soundscapes oscillate between the past and present – the melancholic atmosphere of 80s post-punk and the shoegaze revival of recent decades.
Pulling influences from dream pop, garage and psych rock classics, HYLA uses fuzzed out guitars, and layered melodic vocals to create a nostalgic psychedelic sound.
Come down to Shotkickers catch this showcase of local shoegaze, post-punk & psychedelic indie rock.

The EP moves between a range of influences - the shimmery haze of shoegaze; the cosmic dreaming of 60s psychedelia; the blissed out warmth of dream pop and ambient music; the melancholy brooding of post-punk’s most languid balladeers…
